Clash at Narva[]

March 10th, 1944 · West of Narva. Strachwitz Battle Group. The German army is on the retreat everywhere. In the aftermath of the Kursk battles and Operation Kutuzov, the front line is shifting west so rapidly the Germans can only hope the 'Panther Stellung' will stem the red tide. Army Group North takes up positions on the west bank of the Narva river. In march the situation changes dramatically when the Soviets break through south- west of Narva. A large-scale Soviet attack by the 59th army into the flank of the German 43rd corps threatens to cut the supply line and isolate the city of Narva. In this mission, you are in charge of units within the defensive line. The front is quiet and the enemy seems passive. Send out a scout squad to find information. Go behind the lines to snatch whatever information or maps you can get, then return to HQ. Use the information you get back to issue orders, either for defense or counterattack. In any case, you will be in charge and you have no time to waste. Good luck!
