November 7th, 1943 · Fastiv, Kyiv oblast. 3rd Guards Tank Army (1st Ukranian Front). After a last push on the east of the Dnieper, the Soviets have now regained all territory east of the river. The Germans have decided to construct a defense line on the west bank. Even before the work is finished, the Soviets are already across the Dnieper at Lyutezh, north of Kiev. From there, the Soviets break out to the south in a wide sweep west of Kiev. Brushing any opposition aside, the third Guards tank army leads the way toward Fastiv, a railway node south of Kiev. In this mission, you will need to use the lessons you learned in Stalingrad to win. Most roads to the center seem to have been blocked thoroughly, so you will need to flank the enemy if your troops are to reach the final objective, which is to eliminate the enemy’s core position in this part of the town.
