April 6th, 1945 · Königsberg, Eastern Prussia. 31st Guard Rifle Division. By the end of January 1945, Königsberg is isolated. The Germans are not evacuating, instead they prepare to defend the city to the last. In early April, the Soviets start an artillery bombardment that lasts for 4 days. On april 6th the barrage finally ends and the attack begins. The Red army storms the city from all sides. Massive attacks break line after line until they reach the inner city. In this mission, you will be leading your troops into Königsberg. The Germans have turned the city into a fortress. There are strongholds everywhere; you must take these out first and then take the railway station. Then, you can advance into the city center. You will have to take out the old fortress “Haberberg”, which dominates the old city gate. You will receive heavy artillery to deal with the fortress as soon as it can be spared. Get your troops ready to storm Koenigsberg. Good luck!
